NKK Switches Compliance
NKK Switches’ Compliance with EU-RoHS Environmental Standards & Substances
with respect to the six substances: Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyl and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether, which was effective July 21, 2011. Furthermore, NKK has been working on compliance related to EU-RoHS directive (2015/863/EU) regarding Bis (2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate, Butyl Benzyl Phthalate, Dibutyl Phthalate and Diisobutyl Phthalate, added on June 4, 2015.
We will continue to be environmentally conscious and meticulous, actively pursuing ways we can reduce harmful substances and providing eco-friendly products. We are grateful for our valued customers who have put their trust in us over the decades, and we are committed to not only provide outstanding quality and services, but to continue supplying environmentally safe products.

This Change Notice indicates that none of the listed substances regulated by the current EU-RoHS Directive
2015/863/EU exceeds the levels specified in the directive with the exemptions.

EU-RoHS Directive
The EU-RoHS Directive restricts use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment to protect health and contribute to environmentally friendly recycling and disposal of those products.
(RoHS=Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
Four additional substances were restricted in the (EU) 2015/863, an amended version of 2011/65/EU ANNEX II issued on March 31, 2015.

The CE marking applies to electrical equipment rather than to components installed into the equipment. (The marking signifies that products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA) have been determined to meet high safety, health and environmental protection requirements, and is recognized worldwide.)
